The purpose of Exceptionally Me is to provide a safe and empowering space for young Black women to explore who they are and who they aspire to become. Grounded in culturally affirming practices, the program nurtures self-awareness, critical thinking, and leadership skills through guided mentorship and personal reflection. By fostering connections with professional Black women and centering the voices of girls of color, Exceptionally Me prepares participants to lead with confidence in school, work, and life.

To champion academic excellence, economic mobility, and representation in STEAM, the STEAM Ready Scholarship Fund empowers D.C. teen girls—particularly Black girls—with the financial support, encouragement, and visibility needed to pursue degrees in STEAM disciplines at HBCUs. This initiative helps close opportunity gaps, inspires leadership, and affirms that Black girls belong and can thrive in the most competitive and innovative academic and career arenas.
